What does it mean to be a Talent Acquisition Specialist at GLS?
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of recruitment, including the sourcing of active and passive candidates through a variety of channels. You will also be responsible for providing support for administrative HR function related to the recruitment process.
How will you drive value within the organization as a Talent Acquisition Specialist?
- Create a thorough recruitment and interviewing plan for each open position based on collaboration with the hiring managers, including regular follow-ups to discuss results and adjustments as needed
- Source, through various forms of advertising and/or vendor networks, to provide both active and passive quality candidates for all open positions within a timely manner
- Develop an online organizational presence to attract a diverse pool of candidates, including development of social media and professional networking sites, suggesting improvements for the organization's website career page, and researching alternative avenues for internet-based recruiting
- Establish strong working relationships with all organization leaders to provide top-quality service during the recruitment process
- Coordinate all pre-employment background review processes, ensuring selected candidates meet organizational standards
- Participate in organizing and implementing college recruiting initiatives
- Research and participate in career fairs and networking events to increase awareness of the company brand
- Own administrative HR functions, including onboarding, new hire orientation, and other administrative duties as necessary
What should you already have to be successful in this role?
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree required
- Basic knowledge of HR concepts required
- Strong drive, ambition, and self-motivation;
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail

- Ability to learn quickly and think on your feet

Employment Requirements:
- Remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the work day
- Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment
- Talk and hear to exchange accurate information
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
- The position does require occasional local travel
- This is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which should be expected to vary at times. Generally, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm
- Regular, predictable attendance is required, including overtime hours as business demands dictate
- Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
