OVERVIEW
Have you ever wondered how your favorite brands end up in the stores you shop? The majority of products you purchase are moved on pallets. While the pallet industry may not sound as elite as medical or tech, pallet sales can be lucrative and rewarding. Oakmoor Pallet is a family-owned, national provider of pallets looking for 1-2 candidates to develop into an Outside Sales Representative. We are a national supplier, and location is not preventative to this opportunity. The Outside Sales Rep will be responsible for meeting or exceeding established sales volume by developing new accounts plus retaining and growing existing accounts. In addition, the key component to success is developing relationships with suppliers. In the first year, this job requires traveling to our Corporate office near Cleveland once a month. The rest of the time will be spent developing an assigned territory by building relationships with suppliers and hunting for opportunities to meet sales goals. This is not a desk job. The individual in this role will be representing Oakmoor Pallet and will need to exemplify transparency – open, honest and straightforward. Transparency and teamwork are the cornerstones to Oakmoor Pallet’s culture. First year compensation range is between $65k-90k which includes base and commission. Compensation dramatically increases with tenure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
·Generate new customers by identifying prospects from lead generation software, cold calling and referrals.
· Develop positive account relationships, support and grow new and existing accounts.
· Identify new pallet mills, qualify & understand their strengths and develop positive relationships.
· Utilize critical thinking skills to determine customer needs and supplier strengths.
· Must be eager to work in a team environment while also able to excel independently and unsupervised.
· Collaborate with customers, suppliers and team members to accurately complete paperwork to fulfill orders.
· Compose Requests for Pricing/Quotes and obtain pricing accordingly.
· Effectively prioritize and manage multiple requests from customers and potential limitations of suppliers.
· Resolve customer and mill complaints by investigating the problems, developing solutions, and preparing necessary paperwork.
